Q: What are the hours for a full day fishing charter?

Full day charters run from at 6:30 AM - 4 PM, plan on being
at the dock by 6:15 AM so we can be underway at 0630.

Q: What are the hours for a 1/2 - 3/4 day charter?

Half day charters leave at 6:30 AM and are back at by around 1:00 PM.
Plan on being at the dock at 6:15 AM.

Q: Is there a discount if I charter your boat for more than one day?

Talk to me... remember, I love to fish... deals can be made.

Q: Do you deep sea fish at night?

Night trips can be half day or full day trips... excellent in summer for snapper

Q: How many people are allowed on the Fins?

Up to six passengers are allowed on the Fins, not including crew.

Q: What kind of safety features does your charter boat have?

Fins is a very sturdy built boat, 1998 hull, diesel powered. It has an eight man life raft, satellite distress EPIRB, 24 mile scan radar, VHF radio, and standard USCG required equipment.

Q: What is your policy for bad offshore weather days?

On small craft advisories (often still fishable, see Whale's boat charter as an example of a day where small craft advisories were up), it will be at the customers discretion whether we go out for the day. The Captain reserves the right to cancel or postpone if he deems the weather to be unsafe.

Q: What am I allowed to bring along on our charter?

Bring your own food and beverages. All tackle and bait is supplied.

Q: How far do you travel offshore?

Reefs average 10 -13 miles offshore... average trolling will take us 20 miles out of port.

Q: Can I hire your boat to go scuba diving or engage in other offshore activities?

It's your boat, divers must be certified. Many of the reefs have plentiful lobster and spear fishing opportunities... How about a combination trip?

Q: What about chartering your boat to fish in the Bahamas?

Call me... more fish than you can sometimes imagine... rates vary, must be a minimum of 2 days.
